BCCI strikes again!

Vengsarkar is not the national selector anymore?

When did that happen? :O

I need to stay more updated with cricket news.

But otherwise, hoorah to the fact that Vengsarkar is gone! Unfortunately, I can't say I prefer his replacement- Kris Srikanth. Seriously? The same person who said if he was a selector, Ganguly wouldn't even be number 14 in the squad (after which Ganguly proceeded to make the most miraculous comeback)? Well well. I wonder where Indian cricket is headed now.

Spoonful of Cricket After a Long Withdrawal

I'm watching my first proper dosage of cricket since forever. Delhi vs. Rest of India. Which is quite awesome because all my favourite players are playing for ROI. Dravid, Dhoni and RP.

So what is my opinion on this? Well, it's interesting watching the Delhi people playing against ROI. Delhi has all of my brother's favourite players- Sehwag, Gambhir, Ishant Sharma etc. So it would be a little more interesting if he was at home watching with me.

Dravid is playing slower than I ever remember seeing him play. He scored 50 in 177 balls. SERIOUSLY Jammy, you gotta be faster than that. While everybody else is letting the much hyped T20 format influence their Test strategies, Dravid's slowing his game down. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Jammy fan, always have been and always will be. And even though Jammy is highest scorer in this match, I think he can afford to score faster... he missed out on several full tosses and things.

Ok MSD also missed out on a full toss just now. But at least he's hitting a little more than Dravid, he bludgeoned a couple of boundaries earlier.

Maybe it's the pitch. But even then, can that slow him down THAT much? I wonder.
Well whatever it is, I'm not complaining, because I'm getting my dose of cricket, which I have severely lacked. What would I do without this sport.
