One down, three to go.

YES.
VICTORY REGISTERED :):)

It was an extremely tense match. In my house, tensions were running high as my mum, my brother and I all lamented (in a loud, exasperated and angry manner) India's lack of fielding and bowling prowess. Gayle was threatening to run away with the match.

Then FINALLY FINALLY, Bhajji got him out. In comes Runako Morton and he struggles around for a while before falling as well. Samuels comes in and starts hitting out. We panic. Chanderpaul is still there! But the run rate slows down MAJORLY. Ok so we were all not so worried anymore because the asking rate was like over 10. But SUDDENLY Samuels gets out and Lara comes in with a vengeance and starts smashing all the bowlers for boundaries. After a while, we even started getting annoyed with each other, because Lara and Chanderpaul looked all set to win it for Windies.

India was fielding poorly, giving overthrows, dropping catches, bowling wide balls, bowling as if they were giving Windies batting practice. But Tendulkar managed to claim Lara's wicket and then it slowed a bit again. It was down to the last over, 20 runs to win. Perfectly possible target. Sreesanth was bowling the last over and he had ben very expensive on the previous one. ><
BUT SOMEHOW, India just managed to pull through and won it by 14 runs. Too close for comfort. Chanderpaul managed an amazing innings of 149.

It was a GREAT batting show, and the bowlers were made to look almost silly. The pitch was obviously an ideal batting pitch, with 660 + runs coming from the game. 16 sixes and 66 boundaries. Amazing entertainment.

So there it was, registered on the cards. Man of the Match to Chanderpaul for an amazing innings, but victory to India, series poised at 1-0. :)
